Women in Civil War Event a success

David Decker visited the HHS on 9/26/2013 and provided a great 1hour presentation on women soldiers in the Civil war. He discussed the extent women went to in order to be a soldier in the civil war. He talked of what they did, how they served and highlighted the experience any Union or Confederate Soldier had in the war 1861-1865. He went into great detail on the stories of 4 women including Sarah Edmonds and Frances Clayton to name a few. The audience of 24 enjoyed the program that kicked of the HHS Season. The members voted to approve up to $750 to purchase items to the HHS collection . Motion made by E. Stewart 2nd by e. Bixby. The members were told of the oct 6 veterans memorial dedication and the installation of new railings for the Prescott
