Historical Society Supports Senate Bill 43

A New Hamsphire State Senate Hearing on SB43 was held today at the State Capitol.  The Bill was approved by the ways and means committee with a 5 to 0 vote and moves on to the Senate Consent agenda. SB 43 is an ACT relative to the property taxation of qualifying historic buildings. It enables towns and cities to appraise certain qualifying historic buildings at a percentage of market value in order to encourage the preservation of the historic buildings.

I attended the hearing to show support for this important Legistlation introduced by Senator David Boutin.
