WHO WAS WHO IN THE CIVIL WAR

The Society just received a wonderful donation from Vincent Toland Jr who researched the Hooksett Citizens who served in the Civil War 1861-1865 and he provided a booklet which provides a glossary of Military terms, a list of all soldiers who served, when the enlisted, mustered, when they were discharged and where they were known to participated in battles… From his research Hooksett lost 19 gallant heroes who were killed in action, died of wounds or missing in action. Special thanks go out to Mr. Toland for this valuable resource which also includes entrees from original newspaper articles of the time

He ends the booklet with this quote “Rest Soldier, Thy Work is Done”
