History week coming in October

The Historical society, Heritage Commission, Robies Country Store Historic Preservation Corp, Hooksett  Public library, Friends of the Head School to team up to help Celebrate Hooksett History Week . Look for details in a future posting, but the kick off will begin October 4th at the Hooksett Library.

Programs to cover Native Americans, Presidential primary, the civil war, A night at the Prescott Museum and many others

August meetings announced

On August 25th ,  6 pm to  8pm we will have a gathering at the Prescott to identify more objects in our collection- also throughout August the society will be open to the public , look for dates in the Hooksett Banner and on our website- the next open house is August 1, Monday from 11 to 1

Mcdonald’s closed

the hooksett mcdonalds closed in July 2011 and since it was one of the oldest orginal stores in Nh, built in 1974
the society has obtained items such as inside signs and a Mcdonalds arch

July Meeting schedule announced

Two Open houses will be held monday July 11 and 18th from 11 am to 2 pm at the prescott building. A special meeting will be held Thursday July 28, 2011 at 6pm to 8 pm – the meeting will be – Name the items in the collection- this will help the society to identify some of their unknown collection items
