April Historical Meeting

On April 28 , the Society and the Hooksett Public library will host a meeting on the Underground Railroad activities in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Ms. Eleanor Strange, who is the retired director of the Kelly Library, will a slide show about the local and national history of the Underground Railroad, the secret network in the years before the Civil War which assisted fugitive slaves as they escaped to freedom. The Program begins at a special time starting at 7 pm and will be held at the Hooksett Public Library
