New Hampshire in the 60’s

This presentation provides an overview of some of the major news making events in New Hampshire in the 1960’s including when members of the Chicago 7 came to Durham and caused a campus strike in the days following Kent State, and on the motorcycle riots at Hampton Beach and the emergence of biker culture in New Hampshire.

The historical society wishes you all a happy new year. This years programs are starting to be formulated. the first meeting is scheduled for March. We have reserved oru April Speaker- the program will be on the Underground railroad. Other ideas for programs include one on Cemeteries and gravestons, the oratory of Dan webster. Look for details
